PPE REQUIRED
PRE-START CHECKS
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as listed above
- Ensure all personnel are trained and competent to perform the task at hand
- Ensure personnel are fit for duty
SAFE WORK PROCEDURE - LOAD WASH CAR
- *Large wash cars are transported by a third party company*
- Back up approximately 3 meters before the lift horn
- Engage PTO
- Put truck in neutral
- Use remote to extend arm to put in position
- Back up to the lift horn
- Use remote to retract arm and load the wash car
- Watch alignment while loading
- Once the wash car is on the truck, use remote to retract arm until it locks in place
- Turn off PTO
SAFE WORK PROCEDURE - OFF-LOAD WASH CAR
- *Large wash cars are transported by a third party company*
- Assess area where the wash car is to be placed
- Do a walk around of the truck to ensure there are no leaks, everything is in good visual condition, and you are clear of anything that would interfere with the operation of your unit such as a tree branches, overhead powerlines or overhead doors.
- Back up until bumper is at the approximate place where the front of the wash car will be
- Put truck in neutral
- Engage PTO
- Use remote to push bin back until it doesn’t go any further
- Use remote to start lifting the wash car, leaving the truck in neutral with your foot on the brake
- Once the wash car touches the ground and is about half off the truck, release your foot off the brake (truck
will roll forward slightly) - Keep the remote engaged until the wash car is on the ground
- Drive forward to release the hook
- Use remote to retract arm
SAFE WORK PROCEDURE - MOBILIZE
- Fill with potable water
- String out appropriate length of water hose
- Attach water hose to “water fill”
- Open valve on water tank, if equipped
- Turn on water until full
- Close valve on water tank, if equipped
- Roll up and stow away water hose
- Tidy the Interior if needed
- Stock supplies
- Replace air fresheners
- Fill soap dispenser
- Fill hand sanitizer – if applicable
- Fill paper towel – if applicable
- Add a clean urinal puck – if applicable
- Fill toilet paper
SAFE WORK PROCEDURE - SERVICE
- Start the engine and allow all systems to warm up.
- Do a walk around of the truck to ensure there are no leaks, everything is in good visual condition, and you are clear of anything that would interfere with the operation of your unit such as a tree branches, overhead powerlines or overhead doors.
- Empty septic holding tank
- String out appropriate length of vac hose
- Connect hose to the trucks tank
- Connect the opposite end of the hose to the holding tank
- Turn on vac pump
- Open valve on sewer tank, if equipped
- Run vac until tank is empty
- Close valve on sewer tank, if equipped
- Roll up and stow away sewer hose
- Fill with potable water for mobilization
- String out appropriate length of water hose
- Attach water hose to “water fill”
- Open valve on water tank, if equipped
- Turn on water until full
- Close valve on water tank, if equipped
- Roll up and stow away water hose
- Clean the Interior
- Using a spray bottle of “Mr. Clean”, spray the sink area and wipe down with paper towel. Repeat
- Using a spray bottle of “Mr. Clean”, spray the toilet and wipe down with paper towel. Repeat
- Add “Lysol” toilet bowl cleaner inside the toilet bowl.
- Use toilet brush to clean the inside of the bowl
- Using a spray bottle of “Mr. Clean”, spray the urinal and wipe down with paper towel. Repeat
- Polish the mirror
- Using a spray bottle of “Mr. Clean”, spray and wipe all other surface until clean.
- Fill mop bucket with water and 2 caps of “Mr. Clean”. Mop floor
- Restock supplies
- Replace air fresheners
- Fill soap dispenser
- Fill hand sanitizer – if applicable
- Fill paper towel – if applicable
- Add a clean urinal puck – if applicable
- Replace / refill toilet paper
SAFE WORK PROCEDURE - DEMOBILIZE
Empty septic holding tank

- Start the engine and allow all systems to warm up.
- String out appropriate length of vac hose
- Connect hose to the trucks tank
- Connect the opposite end of the hose to the holding tank
- Turn on vac pump
- Open valve on sewer tank, if equipped
- Run vac until tank is empty
- Close valve on sewer tank, if equipped
- Roll up and stow away sewer hose
POST-JOB PROCEDURE
- Perform a visual inspection of truck and job site for any damage or signs of wear, reporting any issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Properly clean and stow hoses, tools and any other equipment used.
- Disengage the PTO and vacuum systems, ensuring the vehicle is ready for normal driving.
- Document the completed job, recording unit numbers
- Record any issues if necessary.
- If there are damages, fill out the proper documentation
- Select the documents time in Samsara
- Create new document
- Select “Equipment Damage Report”
- Complete a final walk around before leaving site.
