PPE REQUIRED
LOAD ROLL OFF BIN ONTO TRUCK
- Conduct a walk around, look up
- Enter the cab, use 3-point contact
- Back up to bin, use spotter if available
- Apply the park brake
- Exit cab, use 3-point contact
- Inspect and attach the cable hook assembly
- Ensure the bin door is secure
- Re-enter cab
- Engage PTO
- Engage Winch
- Once the bin is on the deck, exit cab
- Engage tarp and secure (for open bins only)
- Re-enter cab
- Check mirrors, scanning for obstructions
- Release the park brake
- Proceed to destination
OFFLOAD ROLL OFF BIN
- Conduct a walk around, look up
- Enter the cab, use 3-point contact
- Back up to designated spot, use spotter if available
- Apply the park brake
- Exit cab, use 3-point contact
- Roll up tarp, if applicable
- Remove transport locks, belts and straps
- Ensure bin door is secure
- Re-enter cab
- Engage PTO
- Lift the bin rail mast to allow bin to slide off rear of the truck
- Engage the out winch
- Allow bin to set on to the ground
- Once set on the ground, disengage park brake
- Slowly begin to wheel out winch (only enough to maintain control of the bin and to avoid an uncontrolled release)
- Slowly drive forward as the bin slides to the ground
- Apply the park brake
- Exit the cab
- Un-attach the cable hook assembly
- Re-enter the cab
- Check mirrors, scanning for obstructions
- Release the park brake
- Drive forward
DUMP ROLL OFF BIN
- Conduct a walk around, look up
- Roll up tarp, if applicable
- Enter the cab, use 3-point contact
- Back up to designated spot, use spotter if available
- Apply the park brake
- Exit the cab
- Conduct a walk around to assess for new hazards
- Stand off to the side of the bin
- Release lock mechanism and safety chain
- Swing door open, be aware of loose debris
- Secure safety chain to the bin
- Re-enter the cab
- Engage the PTO
- Lift bin rail to dump the bin
- Disengage the park brake
- Pull forward once the bin is in an upright position to clear material
- Once material is clear, lower the bin rail to the down position
- Disengage the PTO
- Pull ahead to clear dumped load, then stop
- Apply the park brake
- Exit the cab
- Walk to the rear of the truck
- Remove doors safety chain
- Close door fully, lock and secure the chain in place
- Conduct a final walk around
- Re-enter the cab
- Check mirrors, scanning for obstructions
- Release the park brake
- Drive forward
