PPE REQUIRED
PRE-START CHECKS
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as listed above
- Ensure all personnel are trained and competent to perform the task at hand
- Ensure personnel are fit for duty
SAFE WORK PROCEDURE - LOAD & UNLOAD FROM TRUCK, DECK, TRAILER, GROUND
- Always use a spotter when required to back up.
- Park in position not to damage ground or property
- Park close to portable toilet
- Shuffle toilet into position (approximately 2-4 feet from deck or trailer)
- Tilt portable toilet back
- Bear-Hug portable toilet
- Lift (with your legs) up while stepping forward to place portable toilet
- Secure portable toilet
- Always use a spotter when required to back up.
- Park in position not to damage ground or property
- Park close to portable toilet
- Bear-Hug portable toilet
- Lift (with your legs) up while stepping back
- Place portable toilet down
- Shuffle into position
- Secure portable toilet if required
SAFE WORK PROCEDURE - CLEAN PORTABLE TOILET
- Start the engine and allow all systems to warm up.
- Do a walk around of the truck to ensure there are no leaks, everything is in good visual condition, and you are clear of anything that would interfere with the operation of your unit such as a tree branches, overhead powerlines or overhead doors.
- String out appropriate length of vac hose
- Connect hose to the trucks tank
- Place the opposite end of the hose in the portable tank
- Turn on vac pump
- Run vac until tank is empty
- Remove paper products before the next step
- Prepare boiler and pressure washer
- Pressure wash the inside of the portable toilet, top to bottom
- Make sure to get in all the corners
- Pat dry with paper towel
- Restock supplies
SAFE WORK PROCEDURE - CLEAN PORTABLE TOILET (COLD WEATHER)
- Start the engine and allow all systems to warm up.
- Do a walk around of the truck to ensure there are no leaks, everything is in good visual condition, and you are clear of anything that would interfere with the operation of your unit such as a tree branches, overhead powerlines or overhead doors.
- Prepare the boiler and pressure washer
- String out appropriate length of vac hose
- Thaw the contents of the tank with the pressure washer
- Connect hose to the trucks tank
- Place the opposite end of the hose in the portable tank
- Turn on vac pump
- Run vac until tank is empty
- Repeat until the tank is thawed and empty.
- Remove paper products before the next step
- Pressure wash the inside of the portable toilet, top to bottom
- Make sure to get in all the corners
- Pat dry with paper towel
- Restock supplies
SAFE WORK PROCEDURE - RESTOCK SUPPLIES
- Fill with approx. 5 Liters of water
- Add 1 tank deodorizer
- Replace air fresheners
- Replace urinal puck
- Fill hand sanitizer
POST-JOB PROCEDURE
- Perform a visual inspection of truck and job site for any damage or signs of wear, reporting any issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Properly clean and stow hoses, tools and any other equipment used.
- Disengage the PTO and vacuum systems, ensuring the vehicle is ready for normal driving.
- Document the completed job, recording unit numbers
- Record any issues if necessary.
- If there are damages to the rentals, fill out the proper documentation
- Select the documents time in Samsara
- Create new document
- Select “Equipment Damage Report”
- Complete a final walk around before leaving site.
