Health & Safety Policy
Our goal is to have an injury and accident-free workplace, as well as maintain accident-free worksites of the customers that we serve. Country Pump Out Ltd. is committed to this safety program and all applicable OHS acts, regulations and codes. Accidental loss can be controlled through good management in combination with active worker involvement. Safety is the direct responsibility of managers, supervisors and workers at all levels. CPO believes that our workers are our single most important resource. It is our commitment is to provide and maintain the protection of the health and safety (including physical, psychological, and social well-being) of our workers. It is our goal to minimize our workers’ exposure to the risks and hazards associated with our operation.
To ensure that CPO maintains a safe work environment for all workers, visitors, contractors (including self-employed persons) and the public and remains in compliance with all applicable health and safety legislation, an ongoing program, consisting of the following elements, will be maintained:
It is the expectation, duty and responsibility of every employee to actively participate in making the work environment safe and productive. All employees must comply with the safety standards set by the company as well as all relevant government regulations. If any employee feels they are in danger or their job is too dangerous, then it their responsibility to stop what they are doing at once. Management and supervisors are responsible to ensure that all employees are properly trained, and all appropriate safety procedures are followed. “Ensuring we all get home Safely” is to be promoted in all our operations. Contractors and sub-contractors are responsible for their own health and safety and that of others in the work place. Contractors are to follow our health and safety policies as well as all applicable health and safety legislation.
This statement and all health and safety policies will be reviewed on an annual (minimum) basis to ensure that our health and safety policies and practices remain current. I trust that all of you will join me in a personal commitment to make safety a way of life, by complying with all regulatory requirements and bring to our attention all safety hazards you encounter in your days’ work. Through continuous safety consciousness, we can accomplish our goal.
