CPO is committed to reporting and investigating all major accidents, incidents, near miss events, work-related illnesses and work refusals in order to educate our workers and prevent similar occurrences from happening in the future.
DEFINITIONS
NEAR-MISS / SAFETY HAZARD:
An undesired event, which no physical contact was made, that could have resulted in personal harm, property or environmental damage - but did not.
MINOR INCIDENT / ACCIDENT:
An undesired event that results in minor physical harm to a person or damage to property or the environment.
INCIDENT / ACCIDENT:
An undesired event that results in physical harm to a person or damage to property or the environment. Includes one or more of the following:
